2006-02-17 - ABB scored well in an international survey of recruitment pages on the Web. The group's careers pages were rated second best in Europe, in a recent report by Swedish market research company Potentialpark Communications.
The rankings are based on feedback from more than 4,300 graduates across Europe, and the survey covered the recruitment sites of 102 major companies.
www.abb.com/careers is being praised for offering simple links to international regions where applicants can register their interest in their native language. The way in which ABB's site coordinates the needs of branding, communications, and human resources are well appreciated in the study.
Simplicity and ease of use
According to Potentialpark, there is a tendency towards a "less is more" approach. Simplicity and ease of use are more important to many jobseekers.
"This recognition shows us that we are on the right track," says Paul Lewis, head of HR Development at ABB. "A simple and user friendly recruitment web presence supports ABB in its strive to attract talent, and it gives us the opportunity to start a dialogue with potential new employees."
